Every time my granddaughters(I have six) come to visit we have to have a "Tea Party", therefore, I have quite a few teapots. This set is a beautiful addition to my collection. I will have to confess, I too was surprised at the size of the teapot, however, I was glad it was so large. I am enjoying collecting other items in this pattern and felt this tea set was a real steal.

An elegant tradition. Teatime is a grand tradition, and deserves an equally grand tea service - like this Butterfly Meadow set. Each piece is decorated with colorful butterflies and flowers. And a sculpted butterfly serves as the finial on both the sugar bowl and teapot. Capacity of teapot: 48 oz., creamer: 7 oz.; height of sugar bowl: 4 1/2", cup: 2 7/8"; diameter of saucers: 6 1/8"Playful and delicate in detail, this grand tea set from Lenox makes for an enjoyable, intimate tea party. Soft-colored butterflies and flowers decorate white backgrounds on each piece, and the knobs on the lids for the teapot and sugar bowl feature pretty, sculpted butterflies that are easy to hold onto when lifting. The rims of each piece are an octagonal shaped, instead of purely round, giving the set a unique look. Perfect for service during a private conversation and beautiful in a glass hutch, this tea set is made for showing off. It's also highly functional. Gracefully curving handles give adequate finger room and a 48-ounce teapot contains plenty for an intimate gathering.
