I was very disappointed when I opened the package. The bowls are made in China (other butterfly meadow sets are made in Indonesia). The white color does not match with the other butterfly meadow sets. The quality of white procelain is very poor. It looks cheap! However, I like the other sets I bought (18-peice dinnerware). They are beautiful.
Description of Lenox Butterfly Meadow Dipping Bowls, Set of 2
With their uniquely squared shape, these bowls will add a new dimension to your dining room table or buffet. The inside of each bowl bears a nature scene, complete with flowers and a hovering butterfly. And the outside of each bowl bears a delicate leaf motif. Use the bowls for dips, sauces, and other condiments.A lovely way to serve oil and vinegar, condiments, or sauces, these Butterfly Meadow bowls are designed by Lenox artist Louise Le Luyer. Inspired by the garden, the identical bowls feature Monarch butterflies and bumblebees in flight around a cluster of blue blossoms. A soft green band trims the rim and a pale green garland with tiny ladybugs adorns the exterior. Fashioned from fine bone china, the bowls are light and graceful in the hand but sturdy enough for the dishwasher. They measure 4 inches square and stand 1-1/2 inches high. A full line of coordinating dishware is also available, and Lenox includes coverage under a lifetime breakage replacement policy. --Emily Bedard
