One year before we were married, my husband didn't have a lot of money and for my birthday he gave me a tiny crystal figurine with swans and told me this precious story about how swans mate for life.. it was so touching and sentimental. When planning our wedding, we were totally against the traditional bride/groom cake toppers and were going to go without one, until we saw this one. Most mating swan figurines play too much on the perfect "heart" shape with the necks, and this one is so much more natural and so very intimate and beautiful. Its design is timeless and will be an heirloom for sure.
One thing you will have to plan for is that it is on an oval base, which could be tricky for cake designers. We had a square cake and had it at an angle.
It was packed very nicely and survived shipping very well!

A pair of sculpted swans, their slender necks entwined in a loving embrace, form this romantic china cake topper. Intricate sculpting reveals delicate feathering on each of the swans. And an opalescent finish provides the perfect background for dozens of pearl-like, hand-enameled dots.A combination of elegant lines and ornate detailing, this Opal Innocence swan sculpture from Lenox makes a beautiful crown for the wedding cake. Crafted from fine bone china, the sculpture is designed to coordinate with the Opal Innocence dinnerware and features a flowing white-on-white vine motif over an opalescent finish. Tiny white hand-enameled dots add a touch of romance, and a band of platinum adorns the base. The swans themselves show impressive detail and a gleaming finish.
